active state
The catalogue-lifecycle state of the product LISTING — active (published and sellable), archived (retired from the catalogue and retained — this also subsumes PERMANENT discontinuation, the GDSN gdsnTradeItemStatusCode DISCONTINUED lifecycle: a trade item the manufacturer has permanently retired is `archived` on this axis), or paused (temporarily delisted). Stripe Product.active, Google's pause flag, GDSN trade-item lifecycle status. A governed token, cardinality one. Orthogonal to `availability_status` (which answers 'is a unit buyable / in stock' for a LIVE listing): an archived listing is not an out-of-stock one, and a paused-but-stocked product is a real state. The bare value 'discontinued' deliberately is NOT a member here — it already exists in AvailabilityStatuses as a STOCK/buyability state ('no longer buyable'); the distinct CATALOGUE-LIFECYCLE meaning of discontinued (permanently retired from the catalogue) maps to `archived`, so re-adding the word here would be a homonym overlap (A11) and is avoided. Offer/catalogue-realised, held here as grammar on parity with availability_status; the realised state is downstream (L1).
