property number + unit a measured amount

flash point

The flash point of the substance — the lowest temperature at which it gives off enough vapour to ignite (acetone -20 C, diesel about 52 C), a temperature measurement that sets the packing group and shippability of a flammable good. A flat compliance fact of the whole product, cardinality one, a numeral paired with a temperature unit, exactly as the live max-temperature property is. Deliberately flat, not a qualifier of the card-many hazard-class host: it is a physical property of the substance, not of any one classification.

Flash point is a measured figure, given in °C.

It belongs to compliance — where it is from and what it meets.
