warranty

also called guarantee

A warranty carried by the product — the anchor of a qualified bundle, exactly as a media item anchors its qualifiers. Its literal value is the warranty's stated name as it actually trades on the listing, box or pricelist ('1 Year Manufacturer Warranty', 'Limited Lifetime Warranty', '10-Year Digital Inverter Compressor Warranty'), so a warranty with no numeral term — a lifetime promise — is still a full statement. Cardinality many, because one article carries warranties from both sides of a deal and at several grains at once, each as its own statement: the maker's warranty travels with the article itself (its identity's fact), a seller's added promise ('my shop adds a year') is part of that seller's offer, and a component warranty (ten years on the compressor, one on the rest) is its own row. Each statement rides with its own scope tokens (who backs it, what it covers or limits) and its own term. This is grammar only: the realised expiry date of a bought unit is computed downstream from the sale moment; the full warranty text is a document — a media item whose document type is 'warranty document'; the claim procedure belongs to the ordering layer. Distinct from certification (a mark of regulatory conformity, not a promise to repair).

Warranty is free text, written for one product alone and never shared as a category.

It belongs to warranty & returns — one facet of a product.

A warranty is not a lone value — each statement is a self-correlating bundle, carrying its own:
