Blade edges
The cutting-edge type of a slicing blade: a smooth (plain) edge, which shears cleanly through meat, cheese and firm vegetables, or a serrated (toothed) edge, which saws through bread, crusty loaves and soft-skinned items without crushing them. A token category recurring across food slicers (L11); a slicer may ship with both as interchangeable blades; growing (L13).
