How a hot-beverage appliance holds its contents warm after heating: not at all, at a single fixed hold temperature, at a user-set adjustable temperature, or for a timed hold that then switches off. A token category recurring across kettles, coffee makers and tea makers (L11); growing (L13). An appliance with no hold function takes the value 'none'.
