The buyer SEGMENT an offer's ACCESS is restricted to — a token from the shared buyer-segment taxonomy (a member, a business buyer, an end user / the general public, a wholesale buyer, a trade buyer, a reseller, a public institution). It gates WHO MAY TRANSACT AT ALL: a trade-only offer cannot be bought by the general public, a members-only offer needs a member. An offer may open to several segments, so the property is many-valued; an offer with no restriction carries the end-user value or omits the property. DISTINCT from `price_eligibility` (pricing, b56), which is a QUALIFIER selecting which PRICE TIER a buyer qualifies for among prices all still buyable — this is a standalone top-level access gate that exists without any price. A filterable buyer concern rendered on the product page, at checkout, and as a facet; the 'Trade only' badge or greyed-out buy button a surface prints is presentation over this token (A10), not stored. The realised check — is THIS buyer in the segment — is downstream (L1). An offer filter, not a product-variation axis: no product is sold in a 'trade version' vs a 'public version', so a family never splits on it (its concern `eligibility` yields axis-ineligibility, derived not stored).
