property number + unit a measured amount

inseam

also called leg length

The inside leg length of a bottom garment, measured from crotch seam to hem, as a numeral with a length unit (reusing the spine LengthUnits dimension; e.g. a 34 inseam in inches). For bottoms this is a BUYABLE AXIS, not merely a measurement: bottoms are sold across a waist x length grid (a 32x30 and a 32x34 of one jean are different sellable versions), so on kinds that mark it an axis a differing inseam mints a distinct version — the length axis paired with the inherited size (waist) axis.

Inseam is a measured figure, given in millimeters or inches.

It belongs to measurement — its measurable, physical facts.
