length

The overall length of a product — its primary linear extent, the headline dimension of elongated goods that height, width and depth do not naturally express: a length of pipe or tubing, a curtain rod, a coil of rope or cable, a hose, a length of fabric off a reel. A numeral with a length unit (mm / cm / m / in). Product-intrinsic, distinct from SHIPPING/package dimensions (fulfilment). Complements the box dimensions height/width/depth already on Product (a box-shaped good states those; a linear good states length); an item states whichever of the dimension facets actually apply. This is the product's own overall length — a specific part's length (a knife's blade_length, an inseam) remains a separate named-part fact, not this general one.

Length is a measured figure, given in millimeters or inches.

It belongs to measurement — its measurable, physical facts.
