spin speed

also called maximum spin speed

The maximum drum rotation rate during the spin-extraction phase, as a numeral with a rotational-speed unit (e.g. 1400 rpm; a compact unit ~1000 rpm, a high-end unit ~1600 rpm). The defining front-loader spec for how thoroughly it removes water before drying. Optional, not required: many top-load agitator/impeller washers are sold without a published rpm figure (their headline spec is capacity and agitator type), so a real washer may leave it unstated. Homes on WashingMachine: a tumble dryer tumbles rather than spin-extracts and a dishwasher does not spin at all, so it is washer-specific and does not lift.

Spin speed is a measured figure, given in rpm.

It belongs to measurement — its measurable, physical facts.
