The closed family of shapes a machine identifier may take. A property that points at this vocabulary holds one unbroken code — a trade identifier such as a GTIN, a customs tariff heading, a tax category code, a metering event name — with no spaces inside it. Binding a text property here lets the validator refuse prose typed where a code belongs.
